I was born and raised in Kingston, ON Canada which is where I earned my Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree in Life Sciences from Queen’s University, Go Gaels! After graduating, I moved to Portland, OR to obtain my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Western States Chiropractic College (now University of Western States). I moved to the West Valley in 2003 and currently own and operate a small private practice in Avondale, AZ.
I began teaching anatomy and physiology at Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) as an adjunct faculty member in Fall 2013 and discovered a passion for teaching. I am inspired every day watching students work hard to improve their lives and the lives of their families through education. During my time at EMCC I have always tried to support and connect with students to help them achieve success in their career pathways by using my clinical experience in healthcare to make the material more relatable. I am very excited to have joined the exceptional EMCC Life Sciences division in Fall 2020 as full time faculty and to continue to advance student successes at EMCC.
I live in Litchfield Park with my wife, Dr. Celeste Delap, DPT and our 7 year old son, Liam. In my limited spare time I enjoys playing ice hockey (big surprise the guy from Canada plays hockey), golf, hiking, occasionally running with Celeste, traveling, and more recently, SCUBA diving.
