María "Cecilia" Rosales
Modern Languages Division Chair
Residential Faculty
Dr. Rosales joined EMCC in 2003 as part of the Liberal Arts division. She joined the Modern Languages division in 2013 and teaches Spanish language and humanities classes.
Prior to joining the Maricopa Community College system, she served as Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish at Arizona State University; as coordinator of the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mexican Communities Abroad- Phoenix; as Executive Director of The Mexican Cultural Center of Phoenix; and as COO of Latino Perspectives Magazine.
Academic Interests
Teaching methodologies; instructional tech and design; languages; Latin American film and literature; Spanish humanities; gender studies; sociolinguistics.
