About Patty
I grew up in Columbus, Ohio | GO BUCKS | and still miss all the fun football games in “the Shoe”. I have lived in Phoenix for 30 years, and of those, 20+ years at EMCC, and still love it! I have a passion for technology and was honored to begin my career with Estrella after being recruited to start the Cisco Networking Academy in 1998. In 2006 I completed a Masters's in Library Science at UoA and have been an Adjunct for our college’s fabulous library, allowing me to teach and share valuable tech skills with our students in digital literacy. One of the college’s new partnerships, which I am especially excited about, is being part of the team starting our new Microsoft Data Center Academy for Fall 2022.
I love teaching and want to share my passion for technology to inspire my students. “Teach to Inspire” is my goal in the classroom and to help students gain confidence in their own abilities. Watching students get interested in new technology and develop a curiosity to explore further is incredible, and I want all my students to have that opportunity. I have been blessed to have the most amazing students here at Estrella, and for every new class, I look forward to meeting more.
