Ms. Stiles is a life-long learner and has been an adjunct professor at Estrella Mountain Community College since 2003. She believes students educational experience at EMCC should be one of the most positive life-changing experiences anyone can have. She approaches teaching as a mutual learning experience for the student and herself. Her hope for students after they take communication studies courses is that they will be able to utilize the concepts and theories taught in their COM classes to become better communicators and public speakers which will enrich and improve their professional and interpersonal relationships. She incorporates active learning, videos, class discussions, and reading assignments in her hybrid, face-to-face and online classes.
In her spare time she enjoys hiking, ballroom dancing, attending various music concerts, (especially blues), and traveling in the United States and internationally. She resides with her husband Jim, her cat Molly, and their dogs Theodore and Cherie.
