Becky.Baranowski
I have been at EMCC since August 2002 and primarily teach Calculus I, II, III and Differential Equations.
General Teaching Philosophy:
My classes are a mix of active learning along with lecture. For courses such as college algebra, trigonometry, and calculus I, I have students learn the material through a discovery based approach along with using lecture. Students may watch videos outside of class and bring what they learned to class and teach each other. Hands-on activities will be used to teach the concept to each other. For calculus II, III and differential equations - more of a lecture style with integrated activities with some self teaching is done in class.
Classes I regularly teach:
- MAT220/221: Calculus I
- MAT230: Calculus II
- MAT241: Calculus III
- MAT276: Differential Equations
