Ben.Walton
Biography
Dr. Ben Walton is a lifelong learner who is passionate about fostering student success in the classroom, workforce, and beyond. He served in new-business development at fledgling software companies for much of his career prior to becoming a Residential Faculty member in Communication at EMCC in 2020. In his free time, he's organized local service-project teams and engaged in humanitarian work in villages in Africa and orphanages in Mexico. He's also published a book, presented 4 papers at academic conferences, and written 10 book reviews in a peer-reviewed journal. He's been married to Sara for more than 20 years and is the dad of 3 teenagers: Colin, Lucas, and Landon.

Hermeneutics (Philosopical & Practical); Homiletics; Risk & Crisis Communication; the Rhetoric of Kenneth Burke; and American Public Address.
