Evangelina Cruz

Hi my name is Eva Cruz, I am a One-Stop Student Service Specialist since 2006 and then became the cohort advisor assigned to the Administration of Justice program since 2013.  I have come to understand Student Success through the eyes and stories of many students. It is through their educational endeavors that I find purpose and commitment to advance student learning. As a caring advisor, I am dedicated to bridge our communication to learn more about your personal and professional goals.  I was a returning student and graduated from Tolleson Union High School.   Given my educational experience and life background, I was the first Inspire.Teach graduate to transfer to ASU in Education.   I understand every student is unique and believe that providing a supportive and personalized service is essential when assisting students in achieving their educational goals.

Currently I have 13 plus years working as a Student Service Specialist and former experience as a middle school and high school teacher.  I hold a Master’s Degree in Education and Leadership, a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education.  I am a product of Estrella Mountain Community College in Elementary Education and believe in Maricopa as a returning student, Migrant worker and part of the community I had many barriers to overcome in order to graduate and change my culture and role model for my sons to have more choices for their future.
