Biography 

Bachelor of Arts Degree in French, Russian, and Chinese with special endorsements in secondary education, English, and journalism (Certified Journalism Educator).  Master's Degree in Education in Guidance and Counseling including internship as Licensed Professional Counselor.  Special area of interest at EMCC:  Service Learning and teaching the new FYE103 that is now required for all degree-seeking students. Owned a small business for 18 years prior to entering the educational field.  Lives in Goodyear, AZ and active in tennis and music.  

Academic Interests 
Enjoys working with adult learners both in the classroom and among fellow adjuncts and promoting service learning as a part of community college. Active in establishing the new First Year Experience classes for degree-seeking students (FYE101 and FYE103).
