I was born in Gary, Indiana on the southern shore of Lake Michigan about 35 miles east of Chicago. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Administration from Indiana University. Soon after, my new wife and I packed up what little we had and relocated to the Phoenix area where I began what is now a 33 year career with Arizona Public Service.
Working for a large company, I have actually had the good fortune of having multiple careers during my tenure with APS. My background includes project management for new residential and commercial construction, customer service/call center, commercial credit, and procurement/supply chain management. More than 20 years of my career have been spent in various management roles in these areas.
I come from a family of educators and always had a yearning to teach. After a nearly 30 year break from formal education, I returned to school and received my MBA from the University of Phoenix in 2012. I have been affiliated with EMCC since 2015.
I truly enjoy getting to know each and every one of my students and hope that our time together is mutually beneficial. I commit that I will come to class on time and well prepared and I expect the same from my students. I have always believed that hard work and fun can go hand in hand. We will do both with the ultimate goal being your success in this class as well as in your future endeavors!
